The delivery company was Mountain Valley Express Co. 1000 lbs. of markerboards were delivered by 1 driver. Our employees, in business attire, were asked to unload and position 1000 lbs of markerboards in 110 degree heat. I find this unacceptable. The delivery company should be prepared to unload their delivery. I called Mountain Valley Express to complain and was told we should have asked for a lift gate. That is ridiculous. It is not our job to determine the type of equipment needed for the delivery company's delivery and even if we had requested a lift gate, our employees still would have been asked to move the markerboards to their destination within the office.
