As I said in our conversation, I'd like to send you a photo of the part we want to machine a mold from. We'd like to machine a mold from sintered metal because we're forming this composite rubber part and I'll like for the air to be able to escape from the mold, so as we discussed, I'd like the part to be porous to air, at least some. I think we need a 'chunk' that's at least 3 inches in diameter (or rectangular prism)and more than four inches tall. I actually don't intend to mold this at full height, but I think I want the tool to make a little 'squished' part so it will collapse more easily, so even though the part in the photo is more than 5 inches tall, I'm telling the truth when I say four inches. there is about a .75 min dia hole in the part, so the tool could have that too.
