I finished my PhD in Civil Engineering (Structural) from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. My doctorate work was a project funded by CALTRANS to do evaluation and testing of the retrofit of 2-column bent reinforced concrete frames retrofitted by infill walls. I obtained my P.E. from the State California in 2003. I have recently obtained the ICC Special Inspector license of Reinforced Concrete Structures, certified by International Code Council, ICC.
