With my compute crashing it took considerable time to reconstruct my data base. Forgive me if any information regarding your company is incorrect. Again this November “THE BLUES BROTHERS” will gather on Hatteras Island at the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the 34th consecutive year to surf fish. Since 2002 an annual raffle of donated fishing tackle has raised over $23,000.00 for Outer Banks Preservation Association. It seeks to protect the right to drive on Hatteras beaches for family recreation and to fish. Now more than ever, with the closing of six key fishing spots by Friends of Wildlife and others, it is important for all of us to work to protect our rights to access these beaches. Without the help of your company and others in the fishing community we could not be as effective in our efforts to give something back to Hatteras Island. “The Blues Brothers” have been featured in the NC Beach Buggy News Letter, the Charlotte Observer and in a four-page article, titled “Same Time Next Year”, in the December 1999 issue of Coastal Living Magazine. In years past you have responded with donations of your company products or a discount. This is a tough year for all of us. The Blues Brothers will dig deep again this year to help this island and we hope you will assist us. Your company will receive special recognition at our banquet and in our newsletter. Our trip begins on November 14th. Please send your donations to me at the address below. I will take it to Cape Hatteras to use in “THE BLUES BROTHERS” fund-raiser.
