I am currently in the process of quoting a device to lift a ladle lid off of a ladle, rotate it away and also rotate it into position and lower onto a ladle. A jib crane application would be appropriate for this function but the crane would need to be a special crane. The crane will be mounted on the casting deck directly to steel structure. The height of the crane would be 25'-0"" (from floor to bottom of I-Beam). The span would need to be approx. 25'-0"" and the lift capacity would be 10 ton.
