I guess, you soon gave up, you’ll find them everywhere. Statistics tell us by the year 2020 1 in 5 Canadian will be 65 years old. This is 20 % of the Nation. Our population is getting older, they live longer and they also have problems, like getting dressed in the morning and getting undressed when the day is over. Like bending down far enough to reach your toes and put your socks on can be you first real challenge of the day. I’m a senior myself and experienced all those difficulties. Sometimes those Golden Years is not so golden at all. But, It doesn’t have to be that way, putting on your socks can be as easy a slipping you foot into a house shoe. Let me introduce myself: My name is Erich Gerh. Schoepe, I’m an inventor and live in Scarborough, Canada. Most of my life I was lucky as far as my health is concerned, but about one year ago, things changed. I just couldn’t bend down far enough to reach my toes and put my socks on, not without pain, agonizing pain. I hated to get up in the morning, I knew what was coming, torture, plain torture, and lots if it. So I thought, there must be a better way. I sat dawn and after more than five month of trying I came up with a solution that made all the pain and agony of getting dressed a thing of the past. It’s not just an idea or a few lines on a piece paper I’m talking about, a real sample has been build, tried out and it works. I use it every day ever since and couldn’t do without. I never thought putting on your socks could be so easy. Thousands, even millions of seniors with similar difficulties could benefit from my idea and regain their freedom and independence once more. But it’s not only the old who have problems, think of the obese and the physically challenged, even mothers in their late pregnancies, they have problems to bent down and reach their toes. I developed a device that easy to produce, small enough to fit in every suitcase, and big enough to do the job.This is not a seasonal product, it can be sold all year long. No embedded microchips, just good old fashioned “ LOW TECH ” A search at the US Patent Office turned out negative. In early November of 2007 I filed a patent application in the US and later in the year I’ll file an application in Canada to.
