I'd like to house the spring in an enclosed compartment that will house the screen when the screen door is open. When I want the screen to cover the doorway, I can pull the screen out of the housing and attach the end of the screen to a magnet on the opposite end. Once released from the magnet, the retractable spring will rewind the screen back into the housing. The housing should be no bigger than 2sq inches. Is there a device that will fit in this housing and provide a retractable mechanism to wind and unwind a screen?
