We need the ladder to be close to this height to make the last step off the ladder onto the platform. I noticed that all the ladders that are tall have a cross bar or horizontal bar. How tall is this bar. The drum major will need to be able to duck under this bar to step onto the platform. The podium has a ladder but one of the drum majors will wear a dress which makes climbing a ladder in a long dress hazardous.
