I am interested in long term deliveries of bars for manufacturing of springs. We are interested in peeled bars, polished. 1.Typical dimensions of bars ? 31 (+/- 0,12) x5840mm ? 24(+/- 0,12)x4240mm ?30(+/- 0,12)x6600mm ?15(+/-0,1)x3850mm ?24,4(+/- 0,12) x4180mm Ends of bars cut perpendicular to long axis, without deformation after cutting; 2. Grade according to ASTM A 304-96 3. Mechanical properties – RM=1370-1670 MPa, Re=min 1180 MPa, A5 min 6%. Sample to heat treatment ? 11mm Parameters to heat treatment: Temperature of austenizing 830-860 Celsius degrees 30 min – Oil 60-80 degrees Celsius OH 350-550 Celsius degrees - 1hour – air 4. Chemical composition: C – 0,50-0,54% Mn- 0,60-1,00% Si – 0,15-0,35 Cr- 0,75-1,20% S,P- max 0,03% Cu- max 0,20%, Sn- max 0,020% Deviation from chemical composition of Carbon - unacceptable 5. Size of austenit grain – min 6 according to ASTM E112 6.Method of steelmaking: Steel smelting in electric furnace subject to refinement Steel casting in process continuous casting Minimal 7. Resilienceu- KU in 20 °C min 13 J according to Charpie test. 8. State of delivery -raw 9. Decarbonization - unacceptable 10. Macrostructure of steel acc. to ASTME381- allowable standard: C-2, R-2,S-2; 11. Quality of surface peeled and polished, smooth, without stain, without cracks, without dent, 12. Non metallic inclusions according to ASTM E381 m.A. Requirements according to ASTM 534 13. Straightness of bars – 0,0020xL, where L- length of bars in mm.
