If any of the specs appear out of line with industry standards please let me know and as usual dealing with the government time is of the essence, I would appreciate as quick a turnaround as possible. And as always price is a driving factor but we want to meet the specs and provide equipment that satisfies the requirement. Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, and any other items and services necessary to provide and install: - 7 Lamps on Existing Concrete pole - 17 Search Lights on Existing Observation Towers - 6 Motion Sensor Lights. All work shall be in accordance with manufacturer recommendations for the products to be used, and done by certified personnel. 2. Index: Para 3. Lamps On Existing Concrete Poles Para 3.2 Search Lights Para 3.3 Motion Detectors 3. LAMPS ON EXISTING CONCRETE POLES. Contractor shall provide seven (7) each outdoor area flood lamps on existing poles. Deliverable a. The contractor shall provide the COR with a cut sheet detailing the proposed flood lamps within 10 days after contract is awarded. Specification: Rating: Lamps shall be 400-Watt metal halite rated for outdoors use. Each lamp shall be 120-Volts and have integral photocell upper visor; mounted in a weather resistance case that is to be installed on the poles. Housing and Door: The housing case shall be made from one piece die cast aluminum and shall have a hinge assembly. The housing door shall also be die cast aluminum and shall have gasket groove for placement of a continuous silicone gasket that shall provide a seal between housing and door. Reflector: Lamp cases shall have a die form anodized specular aluminum reflector. Each lamp socket shall contain an integral pre-wired porcelain socket with nickel-plated screw and center contact. The housing lens shall be clear, tempered glass with continuous one piece silicone gasket to provide an environmental seal. Luminescence: Lamp luminance shall range 5,200 to 8,000 and average lifetime shall be 100,000 hours. Ballast shall be pre-wired, encased, encapsulated, constant wattage, and with a high power factor greater of equal to 90. Lamp and case must be listed and certified in accordance with Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Contractor shall install lamps using cross arms and/or brackets with corresponding accessories; and install lamps on the existing concrete street poles. 3.1 SEARCH LIGHTS: Contractor shall provide and install seventeen (17) new fully adjustable tilt angle search lights in existing observation towers. Contractor shall provide high intensity rechargeable battery search lights designed for night time special operations. Deliverable: a. The contractor shall provide the COR with a cut sheet detailing the proposed search lights along with the performance features for the item within in 10 days after contract is awarded. Installation: The search lights shall be fastened with swivel brackets to the observation towers. Contractor shall install search lights to existing observation towers using cross arms and/or brackets with corresponding accessories. Housing: Search light shall have durable casing such as carbon fiber reinforced housing, parabolic reflector, high performance and high impact lens. Rechargeable: Contractor shall provide docking charging system and seventeen (17) each extra rechargeable batteries. Search light and accessories shall be Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed and certified. 3.2 MOTION SENSORS: Contractor shall provide and install 6 white motion sensor lights to sufficiently illuminate pedestrian traffic. Deliverable: Contractor shall provide a construction shop drawing of the motion sensor system detailing the proposed method of installation and location for each sensor along with the electrical utility location to the COR within 10 days after contract is awarded. The contractor shall provide the User with training in the use and adjustment of the sensor system. The contractor is responsible for the installation of 6 lamps with motion sensors. Detection Angle: The motion sensor lights shall have a 140 degree adjustable horizontal zone. A head that is able to tilt and swivel 270 degrees horizontal and shall have a 65 degree vertical aiming capability. Installation Height and Sensor Capability: Each motion sensor must reach 40 feet when mounted at 8 feet height. Motion sensors shall have dual lens to detect motion beneath the sensor. Protection from Voltage Spikes: Sensors shall have built-in surge protection with auto-reset. Quality: Lens shall be distortion free and shall be housed in gasket sealed and watertight housings. Motion sensors and lights shall be outdoor type with each lamp able to support up to a 150 watt light bulb/tube; Motion Detector Performance: Light shall shut off 2 minutes after last detected movement.
