Typically the augers consist of ERW tube steel with stub shafts inserted and welded into the ends. Next, either helicoid or sectional auger flighting (in some applications both) are welded in place. All components are hand welded with emphasis in overall balance through the manufacturing process. Once placed on the balancing unit, the end shafts ride on two rollers, and sensors track vibration angles. From here, a technician welds weights on the flighting where needed. Currently the process is taking too long for the accuracy we want for our customers. We need a unit that is capable of providing dynamic balancing at a range of speeds for a range of auger lengths anywhere between 3' to 20'. We are also looking to having products up to 35'.
