We are interested in explosion proof redundant air conditioners for panels for an ongoing, very critical and tight scheduled project of ours. Here is a detailed elaboration of the required solution. We have purged panel safe for usage in Class 1 Div 2 Group B and D areas. We require an explosion proof redundant air conditioning system (comprising of two AC units mounted on the sides of the panel) that will work for this purged panel without disturbing the protection level provided by the purging system. The air conditioners should be suitable for the area classification or even better if the air conditioners are of explosion proof rating. Following are the conditions for which the redundant AC System have to be designed: ? The panel size is 1880 x 1905 x 610 (height x weight x depth) approximately. ? Maximum outside temperature of panel can be 50 degree Celcius. ? Required temperature inside the panel is 25 degree Celcius. (AC should be able to bring temperature below this as well) ? The heat dissipation of internal components of panel is approximately 670 Watts. ? System operating temperature range is 0-55 degree Celcius. ? The panel is in outdoor area with a sunshade mounted on it. ? The panel will be Hoffman’s Nema 4X panel with 12 gauge type 304 Stainless Steel (Model No. WS747524SS). ? The supply voltage for AC is required to be 240V single phase, 50Hz. The redundancy requirements for the air conditioners are as follows. ? The “Run” signal for both the ACs (redundant) shall be provided in form of a potential free contact coming from the PLC (PLC in Avanceon’s scope. The ACs shall start when a potential free contact will come from PLC. The PLC shall then control the switching mechanism.) ? A separate potential free contact is required from both the ACs (redundant) which shall activate when the AC will be “Running”. ? A separate potential free contact from the AC is required in case of a fault. The construction and body details for the air conditioners are as follows ? Class1 Div2 Gr. B and D certified or Explosion proof air conditioners are required with appropriate certifications. ? A minimum of IP 65 casing is required for the Air Conditioners. ? The ACs should be panel mounted without any external support. The weight should be appropriate considering the panel make and no external supports. ? The dimensions should not exceed 36” x 12” x 12” (height x width x depth) ? The AC s when fitted in panel should not be more than 1” inside the panel. Rest of the AC should be outside the panel. ? External push buttons for both AC (for start / stop) are required. ? Main Circuit Breaker and its wiring to the Air Conditioners to be provided. ? All the accessories like circuit breakers, wirings and push buttons e.t.c. should be suitable for the explosion proof environment. We require a detailed technical proposal along with technical literature (dimensional drawings, electrical parameters, certifications, controls, fitting and cutout for the AC/Purging System required in panel should be clearly specified in the technical literature) for the appropriate model as per the considerations mentioned above. Kindly propose your separate solution for redundant ACs as well if you have one. The above mentioned solution is required separately for two separate panels(enclosures) at this time. Please include your minimum possible delivery time for these systems in your proposal. Keeping in view the above mentioned details, please quote with your best possible price. Please note that if you cannot offer a solution exactly meeting the requirements then quote your closest solution with all the details. We would really appreciate if we can have this proposal as soon as possible as we have some real tight deadlines to meet.
