(www.kuder.com), the premier provider of comprehensive, internet-based career and college planning tools and resources. We are doing an extensive feature on your industry by having a diverse group of professionals participate in The Person Match Project, an innovative vehicle to introduce students to unique occupations to which they typically do not gain much exposure. In light of the President’s High Growth Training Initiative (you can learn more by clicking here), we are making an effort to feature the career stories of professionals in these industries so we can help meet workforce demand and promote awareness of the current opportunities in these high growth sectors. The Person Match Project is a vehicle designed to expanding students’ knowledge about these growth careers. We give you the opportunity to virtually step into classrooms all around the nation and share your career story with every student who expresses similar interests! By taking the career interest assessment that students take in their career planning classes, we are able to ‘match’ the transcribed version of your career story to those students who scientifically expressed your similar interests! Students are introduced to unique careers with a personalized, in-depth look into the professionals’ career. It’s like online job shadowing! In about 30 minutes, participants take the career interest assessment online, and respond to a few open ended questions about their career. Interview questions range from sharing how they got where they are, to what they enjoy doing in their free time. We do the work of transcribing the career story. You can click here for more information on the Person Match Project and read a sample career story. Please note that we never sell or publish participants’ contact information. We do not include identifying information in their story, only the job title. Participants receive a copy of their career story as a keepsake, so they can see what students around the nation will be reading!
