Lap Tech Industries, Inc. has over 75 years of combined experience in the lapping, polishing, conventional double disc grinding and fine grinding applications. Lap Tech Industries is pleased to introduce our Fine Grinding capabilities. We currently have two Stahli DLM 700 Fine Grinders, one Peter Wolters AC700 Semi Automated Fine Grinder, and two AC1200 Semi-Automated Fine Grinders. This provides our customers with an exciting low-cost alternative to traditional flat lapping and grinding processes. High speed lapping, also known as fine grinding or flat honing has a number of advantages: ? Advanced machine control technology combines the high stock removal rate of grinding with the precision of lapping. Processing speeds are up to 20 times faster than traditional lapping. ? Fine Grinding is a clean grinding process, by using fixed abrasive wheels; it allows parts to be free of grit impregnation thus eliminating the need for expensive clean up. ? Cost savings of up to 20 % versus traditional flat lapped and ground parts. Lap Tech Industries has also expanded our double disc grinding and finishing capabilities with the addition of three 30” Besley DH6 thru feed double disc grinders, a Peter Wolters FE700 brush de-burr system and a Hammond Rotor Finish Multi Pass vibratory and dryer machine. Lap Tech Industries, Inc also has various types of single sided flat lapping and polishing equipment, ranging from 15” table top models to our larger 72” single side Lapmaster lapping machine, making it possible for Lap Tech to provide solutions to our customer’s most demanding lapping applications. Lap Tech Industries, Inc. has acquired 2 locations. We occupy an 11,000 square foot facility located in Lake Wylie, SC, 20 miles south of Charlotte, NC, and a 15,000 square foot facility in the Dayton, Ohio area just a few miles away from I-70- and I-75 exchange.
