Gruber builds all types of dies from Draw Dies, Compound Dies, Progressive Dies, Blank Dies, Form Dies, to High-Speed Machining, Complex Weld Fixtures, Inspection Fixtures, and prototype Parts. They work with many types of metals including Aluminum, Copper, and High Strength Steel, Cold Rolled, Stainless Steel and various other types of steel. They also work with thickness from .004” thick Aluminum for there Radiator dies up to .250” thick steel for there brake shoe and ABS bracket dies. They make Header dies for Radiators and they also make the little fins. There press can run up to 300 strokes a minute to satisfy customer demands. Gruber has built header dies as quick as 6 weeks from design to finish if needed. All of Gruber’s presses have feeders on them for die tryouts to simulate production runs. Gruber’s biggest press at this time is 500 tons. Gruber has 9 full time designers on staff for all your design needs and questions. Gruber typically will build small to medium size dies in 12 to 14 weeks and some even quicker. On there larger tools Gruber typically quote 14 to 16 weeks. I have been keeping logs on Gruber’s prices compared to about 6 or 7 other local shops in the Grand Rapids area and 85% of the time Gruber is the lowest cost and has the best timing.
