Actually SMI would like to modernize the foundry equipments, and we are interested to receive your offer for this project. The provision is to provide a turnkey unit that could be resolve the problems encountered at the actual foundry. In order to give you more idea about the existing unit and about future installation requirements, there are some technical information’s: Product to be treated “feed “: The feed of the foundry is composed by 3 types of ore: *The cement of silver: represents 73% of the feed: this product under 62% Ag, 1.46% Pb, and 3.46% Hg *Silver Chloride”AgCl”: represents 21 of the feed % *Gravimetric concentrate: 6% of the feed: humidity ranges from 4 to 15%, silver content: 50%, the mercury Hg is 15% Description of the existing melting unit: 1/ the first operation is for eliminate mercury and humidity, this stage is assured by roosting at 700°C in the static furnace “four statique à mouffle” 2/the second operation is a melting at 1100°C in a crucible furnace , at the end of this operation 2 products are obtained ingots semi finished containing 95% of silver and slag which will be isolated. 3/The 3rd step is a melting of ingots semi finished in a Reverber furnace, in the presence of air injection in order to oxidize impurities such as Pb and zinc, the product obtained at the end, are silver ingots with 99% of silver “ingots of 250kg” 4/The last step is a melting in order to reduce the weight of ingots to the weight demanded by the customer “9Kg”, the operation takes place in a crucible furnace. Objective of the project of modernization of the foundry: *Reduce the number of existing furnace. Collect the maximum operating in a single furnace *Produce directly ingots 9 kg. *The furnace to propose must be capable of produce 10Tonnes of silver by shift, the installation will be operated two to three times per month . *A circuit of aspiration and washing gases should be proposed “especially for mercury "", the emission should be conforming to European standards. *The feeding operations and unloading of the furnace must be mechanized.
