Can you please take a look at the bellows design enclosed in this message and let us know what you think. The bellows will pass a granular material called JSC-1A which is similar to basalt or fine beach sand so we have added an inner tube that will allow the material to pass without getting lodged in the folds of the bellows but will still allow for movement because the tube is only attached at one end and the lower flange has a clearance hole for the tube of 5/16"". This material is very dusty so we will still get a lot of small particles between the bellows and the inner tube but we have not found a way around that. We would appreciate suggestions on possible ways to block it if you have any. This design outlines our intent but please use this as more of a guide than a requirement. The highest temperature the material can reach is 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The flanges can be as shown or can be a Tri-Clamp design. We are using 2"" inside diameter tubes on the rest of the system but the inner tube on the bellows can be larger or even smaller than 2"" but we are trying to keep the overall size and weight to a minimum. The material would be stainless steel either 304 or 316.
