We manufacture combat uniforms for the US Government following strict regulations and MIL specifications. We are presently looking for a supplier of a waterproof film to heat-seal a patch of adhesive backed cloth used to fix minor torn in combat uniforms. The sealed envelope would protect the patch from humidity, water, laundering, etc., and will be sewn to the interior of the garment until ready to use. The sealing material must be made in the USA and comply with the Berry Amendment as required by the Government. We have no specifications for such material, but have been supplied with samples of what the heat-sealed cloth swatch should be like when finished. We would like to find a similar product to the sample supplied, which is a semi-transparent film with a “soft rubber “ feel to it. Please see the attached picture. If you feel you can supply this type of material or know a company that can supply it, please send us a note and we will send a sample for your review.
