The handrail welds are breaking off on one side and cracked on the other rail. Welding looks like cold-lap poor penetration. The stairtread welds are deficient in size and weld quality. The unit has had very little use. We have taken the unit out of service due to unsafe condition. Please advise how to have the welding repaired to Code.
