That means, for your information, both CA fan and flue gas fan are driven by turbine from one end and electric motor from other end. That’s why, 2 No. over running clutches are required between drive end fan at both ends. For selection of over running clutches, we are furnishing the following data. Description Combustion Air Fan Flue Gas Fan Fan / turbine speed 980 rpm 980 rpm Auxiliary drive speed Not applicable Not applicable Max. torque 7,650 Nm 16,250 Nm Nominal torque 6,790 Nm 14,720 Nm Over running speed To be decided by clutch manufacturer (as soon as turbine or motor is switched off, clutch should detach from the main equipment i.e. fan, to allow other to drive the fan). Fan shaft dia 140 mm max (may be reduced to 120 mm also to suit the clutch, if required. 170 mm (may be reduced to 150 mm, if required).
